Veteran Forward Paul Millsap Announces Retirement After 16 NBA Seasons

Former NBA All-Star Paul Millsap announced his retirement after a remarkable 16-season career in the league. Selected in the second round of the 2006 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz, Millsap made a name for himself as a versatile forward known for his consistency and defensive prowess. Throughout his career, he also played for the Atlanta Hawks, Denver Nuggets, Brooklyn Nets, and Philadelphia 76ers, earning numerous accolades including an All-Rookie Second Team selection in 2007 and an All-Defensive Second Team honor in 2016.

Millsap was a four-time All-Star, averaging 13.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.2 assists over 1,085 games. He also joined an elite group of players in NBA history to achieve 500 three-pointers, 1,000 blocks, and 1,000 steals. In the playoffs, Millsap maintained his high level of performance, averaging 12.1 points and 6.8 rebounds in 130 games, highlighted by deep runs with the Hawks and Nuggets, including trips to the conference finals.
